Our series of articles on Regimental Commanding Officers continues with the thirteenth CO of the 1st Battalion, The Loyal Edmonton Regiment, Colonel James Riley Stone, CM, DSO (and Two Bars), MC, CD. During the Second World War he rose from the rank of private to Lieutenant Colonel and later commanded the 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Light Infantry in Korea.
