Donate Artefacts
Donations of artefacts, archival materials, and library materials are welcome. Generally, items will only be accepted if they are relevant to the Loyal Edmonton Regiment or to the military in Edmonton or Alberta. We would prefer, therefore, that potential donors contact the museum prior to coming in with their donations for guidance as to whether the items are appropriate to this museum or another facility.
Donations of items can be receipted for tax purposes based on evaluations done by the museum.
Financial Support
Our mission is to preserve the military heritage of The Loyal Edmonton Regiment, to honour military service and sacrifice, past and present, and to promote a greater understanding of the legacy of military service in Edmonton. We try to provide an environment for visitors to experience the proud history and traditions of the military in the Edmonton area through educational programs, tours, exhibits, and research services.The museum is operated by a non-profit foundation. Day to day operation is carried out by a small staff and the efforts of a group of dedicated volunteers. We do not charge for admission to our galleries or for most other services that we provide to the public. Funding to support our operations comes from bi-annual casino revenues, various grants which are available to heritage organizations for specific projects, and from donations from clients who enjoyed a visit to our galleries or appreciated a service we had provided.
