Remember Newsletters

The thirteenth in a series of quarterly newsletters recognizing 100th anniversary events of the First World War is now ready. We are continuing to highlight significant and/or interesting events, people, stories and artifacts from that war with an emphasis on Edmonton and the 49th Battalion.

In this issue we highlight the 49th Battalion’s activities during the 3rd quarter of 1917 and the 218th Battalion’s conversion into the 8th Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops. We also have articles on the Edmonton Regiment in England in the 3rd quarter of 1942, the 2nd Battalion Edmonton Regiment at home in Edmonton, and on current museum activities.
