Donations of artefacts, archival materials, and library materials are welcome. Generally, items will only be accepted if they are relevant to the Loyal Edmonton Regiment or to the military in Edmonton or Alberta. We would prefer, therefore, that potential donors contact the museum prior to coming in with their donations for guidance as to whether the items are appropriate to this museum or another facility.
Donations of items can be receipted for tax purposes based on evaluations done by the museum.
The mission of The Loyal Edmonton Regiment Military Museum is to honour military service, past and present, and promote a greater understanding of the legacy of military service in Edmonton and northern Alberta. We try to provide an environment for visitors to experience the proud history and traditions of the military in the Edmonton area through educational programs, tours, exhibits, and research services.
This museum does not charge for admission to our galleries or for most other services that we provide to the public. We operate with a small part-time staff and the efforts of a group of volunteers. The Museum is operated by a non-profit foundation. It receives no government funding other than grants, which are available to heritage organizations for specific projects. Money for day-to-day operations is obtained by volunteers working our annual casino and by donations from the general public.
You can help us continue to operate our galleries, expand and catalog our collection, and provide research and public program services by making a donation to the LERM Foundation.
Donations can be receipted for tax purposes.
